About the Campaign.CROWDFUNDING - Hello UFunders! Thanks for having a look at our campaign! Since May of last year, we have been working non-stop to bring Columbus its first Brew on Premise establishment - BRU of Columbus. "What does that mean", you ask? Well, a brew on premise is a place where you and your friends can come to brew high-quality craft beer in 15-gallon batches. You will spend a couple hours with a brewing professional, then return in a week or two to bottle your beer and take it home. The process is simple, fun, educational, and affordable, and the only problem is that the closest brew on premise is 2 hours north of Columbus! In addition to our brew on premise operation, we will be operating a full-service retail bar, a retail supply store for local home brewers, and we will be wholesaling the beers that we manufacture to bars, restaurants and retailers.In the past year, we have been busy raising funds and securing our location at 1288 N. High St. in the bustling Short North Arts District. In addition to being in one of the highest-traffic areas of Central Ohio, we are within a block of a distillery (liquor manufacturer) and a meadery (honey wine manufacturer), leading the local press to begin to refer to our block as the new "Spirits District" of Columbus, and we're excited to be a key part of the area's growth! How can our UFunded campaign help? We're looking to raise $1,000 to pay for a gorgeous, handmade, locally-crafted sign to hang on the front of our building to let people know where to find Central Ohio's new craft beer headquarters. Any additional money we raise will go toward the development of our ecommerce website at www.YouBRU.com where we will be selling home brewing supplies, ingredients, and equipment to homebrewers throughout the country.
